Rodrigue Jr., 82, a native of Chackbay and longtime resident of Thibodaus was born March 3, 1933 and died Saturday morning, Aug. 22, 2015. Visitation will be 5-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by his only child, Douglas Rodrigue Sr.; grandchildren, Tonya Blanchard, Heidi Rodrigue and Dr. Douglas Rodrigue Jr.; and great- grandchildren, Bailey Hyatt, Bradley Hyatt, Blakeley Hyatt and Thad Blanchard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Guillot Rodrigue; parents, Septime Rodrigue Sr. and Victoria Mars Rodrigue; and brother Lauris "Beb" Rodrigue. Septime was a special services U.S. Army veteran and retired dragline operator for the DOTD. "T-June" was also a well-known guitar player for several local bands, including the Bayou Dixieland Band, The Durels and The Rhythm Kings. He is forever in our hearts.
