Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1509.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Audrey Thibodeaux Duet, 86, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her home in Lafayette surrounded by her family. Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Richard Lemoine and Shelley Breaud. Giftbearers will be Ryan Lemoine and Caroline Lemoine. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Wind Beneath My Wings," "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman," "Panis Angelicus," and "On Eagles' Wings." Graveside Services will be conducted by Deacon Ambrose on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Landry Funeral Home will be handling graveside services. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Christine Duet Lemoine and husband, Leonard “Lenny” Kyle Lemoine; her grandchildren, Ryan Lewis Lemoine, and Caroline Lillian Lemoine; brother-in-law, Malcolm David Duet and wife, Pat Foret Duet; sisters-in-law, Joycelyn Thibodeaux, Billie Feazel Duet and Bonnie Bergeron Thibodeaux; nieces, Linda Thibodeaux, Kelly Thibodeaux, Kitty Ford Thibodeaux and Ceilia Duet Crochet; and nephews, Douglas Gerard Duet, Kyle Wilson Duet, Steven Perque, Barry Perque and Kenneth Perque. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Joseph Duet of Thibodaux, LA; her parents, Gillis and Laurentia Levron Thibodeaux of Schriever, LA; one sister, Tessie Thibodeaux Perque of Marrero, LA; and two brothers, Fred Thibodeaux of Houma, LA, and Richard Thibodeaux of Algiers, LA. Audrey Thibodeaux Duet was born in Labadieville, Louisiana, was a resident of Thibodaux for most of her life, and moved to Lafayette with her husband, Russell in 2005. She graduated from Thibodeaux High School in 1945, where she was a member of the State Champion basketball team that year. She was voted All District Forward, and subsequently offered a Basketball scholarship to attend LSU in Baton Rouge. She owned and operated "The Fabric Shoppe" in Thibodaux, Louisiana for over 15 years. Mrs. Duet had a passion for life, loved cooking, spending time at her camp in Grand Isle, fishing, going camping with Russell in their motor home, tailgating at LSU football games, playing slot machines, and spending time with family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
