Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1509.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Freddy “Beruk” Joseph Falgoust, Jr., 68, passed away on September 19, 2015, in his home in Chackbay, Louisiana. He was born on July 25, 1947, in Vacherie, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah Rodrigue Falgoust; son, Freddy Falgoust III and wife Nancy Gauthreaux Falgoust; daughter April Falgoust Hymel and husband Chad Hymel; grandchildren, Holly, Addy, Jack, and Guy Falgoust and Riley and Ellie Hymel; sister, Evelie Falgoust Gravois; and mother-in-law, Una Rodrigue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elodie Schexnayder Falgoust and Freddy Falgoust, Sr.; sister, Edna Falgoust Folse; father-in-law, Daniel Rodrigue; brothers-in-law, Andrew Folse, Andrew Gravois, Kevin Rodrigue, and Eugene Rome. Freddy proudly served his country in the United States Army in Delta Company 1st of the 20th, 11th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division in Vietnam. He received a Purple Heart for his service. After thirty years of employment, he retired from Occidental Chemical Corporation. His hobbies included raising pigeons, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a member of The Military Order of the Purple Heart, The American Legion, VFW, Cajun King Club Classic, Bayou Racing Pigeon Club, Serama Council of North America, South Louisiana Serama Club, and the Cajun Serama Council. Visitation will be on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, LA. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either The Military Order of the Purple Heart (https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/purpleheartfoundation) or The Vietnam Veterans of America (http://www.vva.org/support.html).
