Sherry V. Fontenot, 53, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015. 
She was a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, LA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Thibodaux Funeral Home 
in the chapel from 5pm till 7pm. Religious services will be held at 7pm at the 
funeral home. 

Burial will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Mark Fontenot; daughter, Nikki Lynn 
Pujol and husband Justin; step-children, Amanda Fontenot, Jonathan Fontenot and 
wife Jenna, and Cory Fontenot; mother, Maxine Voisin; brother, Michael “Mike” 
Voisin, Jr. and wife Jill; sister, Teri Voisin Goodroe; grandchildren, Gage 
Michael and Brylee Pujol, and Selina Navorro; and grandmother, Helen D. 
Thibodaux.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael “Mickey” Voisin, Sr.; paternal 
grandparents, Linwood and Winona Marie Voisin; and maternal grandparents, 
Orville “Lou Lou” Thibodaux and Grace R. Thibodaux, and Harold “Red” Hanes.

Sherry practiced good Christian values. She enjoyed her life with her family 
and friends. She loved everyone that she came into contact with and her smile 
lit up any room she entered.

Her family is grateful for friends and family members who visited. Many thanks 
to her family at the Neurosurgery Clinic of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, 
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Staff, Cancer Center of Thibodaux Regional 
and staff, and Haydel Memorial Hospice.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the America Cancer Society in honor 
of Sherry V. Fontenot.
