Catherine “Tina” Bordis Howell, 69, was born on September 5, 1946 and 
peacefully passed away on her birthday, September 5, 2015. She was a native and 
resident of Napoleonville, LA.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Assumption of the 
Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Plattenville from 8:30 AM until funeral 
time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 AM 

with private burial to take place at a later date.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Lawrence “Larry” Howell; 
daughter, Cami Mabile and husband Russ; son, Jonathan Howell and wife Erica; 
grandchildren, Will Carothers, Alex Mabile, Ella Mabile, Ethan Jon Howell, 
Caroline Howell, and Camille Howell, and siblings, Chuck Bordis, Timmy Ordoyne, 
and Mellie Talbot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Camille Bordis; nephew, 
Lauren Talbot, and her special Aunt Dolores “Nano” Bordis.

She was a loving wife, mother, Gam, sister, aunt, and friend. As a long time 
compassionate educator in Assumption Parish she touched the lives of many 
students. She was a kind person who cared for everyone she knew, and she will 
be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Tina Howell Memorial 
Scholarship Fund through the Nicholls State University Foundation. P.O. Box 
2074 Thibodaux, LA.
