Darrell Lance Lacox, 57, a native and a resident of Thibodaux, passed away 
peacefully at 12:44 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his residence.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Allen Chapel AME Church 
located at 1101 Lagarde Street in Thibodaux, LA 70301. 

Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery.

He is survived by his devoted companion of over thirty plus years, Darlene 
Brown; two sons, Darrius and Darwin Brown (Reneka); two daughters, Rochelle and 
Jacely Brown; one grandchild, Bre'Niya Tardy; his mother, Adell Henderson 
Golden; three brothers, Michael Lacox, Don P. Golden (Genise) and Mark A. 
Golden, Sr. (Querida); and three sisters, Millicent Carter (Albert), Taryn 
Lacox and Donna P. Golden; goddaughter, Ranneisha Green; and a host of other 
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lacox, Jr; his paternal 
grandparents, Walter T. Lacox, Sr. and Anna Marry H. Chappell; and maternal 
grandparents, Richard and Betsy Bryant Henderson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
