Alvin Joseph Legendre, 72, a native and resident of Chackbay, passed away 
Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday, Oct. 1, at Our 
Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Scott Legendre; sons, Christopher Legendre 
and wife, Roxanne, and Jerome Legendre and wife, Kimberly; daughter, Bridget 
Thibodaux and husband, Walter; stepchildren, Vanessa Pitre and Ashley Pitre; 
grandchildren, Derek Thibodaux, Josh Legendre, Jordon Legendre, Justin 
Legendre, Austin Legendre and Dawson Legendre; great-grandson, Kooper 
Thibodeaux; and brother, Norvin Legendre. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edna Mahler Legendre. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
