Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, Oct. 3, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church mausoleum in Houma. She is survived by her sons, Earl and Margaret "Sue" Pertuit, and Donald and companion, Earline Pertuit; daughters, Linda Boudwin, Yvonne Duplantis, Christine and husband, Alan Hartman, and Marion and husband, Robert Chouest; brothers, Enest "Red" Jr. and wife Jo S. Lapeyrouse; sisters, Rita Songe, Dorothy Mason and Enola "Eula" Arcement; nine grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Charleston Edmond Pertuit; son, Larry Pertuit; brothers, Wilment, Wilson and Myrus Lapeyrouse; sister, Pearl Landry; sons-in-law, Larry Boudwin and Deacon Connely Duplantis; and parents, Enest Sr. and Alida Rock Lapeyrouse. Joyce was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was also active with the Council on Aging, a member of the American Legion and the Association for the Blind of Louisiana. Joyce loved raising chickens, making ceramics and baking. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
