Plaisance Sr., 89, a native of Cut Off and resident of Larose, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Thursday, Oct. 1, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Memorial Mass will be at noon Thursday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Elsie G. Plaisance; son, Eddie A. Plaisance Jr. and wife, Mary; daughter, Stacey P. Breaux and husband, Todd; son-in-law, Mike Pierce; sisters, Rena Walker and Annabelle Savoie; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Evelyn A. Plaisance; daughters, Barbara P. Pierce and Debbie P. Champagne; brothers, Taylor, Freddie and Euris Plaisance; and sisters, Gertie Curole, Frances Bourgeois, Clarabelle Gisclair and Earline Bourgeois. ddie was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.
