Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1510.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Sidney Joseph Boudreaux Jr., 74, was born June 12, 1941, in Chauvin, and passed away at 12:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 in Houma, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. A Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Christ Baptist Church. In death as in life he enjoyed helping people and donated his body to LSU to help further the study of and hopefully find a cure for pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hebert Boudreaux; son, Sabra Boudreaux (IS1 SW/AW Retired USN) and wife, Kelly; daughter, Susan Boudreaux Holmes, and husband, Ken; son, Technical Sgt. Robert Boudreaux (USAF); son, Michael Boudreaux (L CPL, USMC Veteran) and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Private First Class Geoffrey Boudreaux (U.S. Army), Airman First Class Emily Boudreaux (USAF), Stephanie Boudreaux, Jonathan Holmes and wife, Rachel, and Taylor Holmes (Deputy for TPSO) and wife, Ashley; sister, Maggie Boudreaux Kibodeaux and husband, Ronald; nephew, Jason Kibodeaux (Det. Lieutenant for TPSO; niece, Melanie Kibodeaux (Deputy for TPSO); great-nephews: Dylan and Cade; and great- niece, Gabreille. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney "Doo" Boudreaux Sr. and Pearl Martin Boudreaux; brother, Kenneth "Negay" C. Boudreaux; infant daughter, Elizabeth Mary Boudreaux; and infant granddaughter, Rebecca Nicole Boudreaux. Early in life, Sidney served in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy he worked for the USDA Experimental Station at Southdown, Freeport Sulphur Co., Placid Oil Co., and Halliburton as a lift boat Captain for more than 30 years. During that time he received his Master Captain's License for international water navigations. Sidney was an active member of Christ Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He loved traveling to hear Southern Gospel singing the first Friday of every month. He was also a Chaplin and longtime member of the local chapter of the Gideons International and enjoyed distributing bibles. He loved to grow a garden every summer and he had a passion for making fig preserves every year with Beverly. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful and compassionate staff of the AMG Specialty Hospital and the skilled nursing on fifth floor north at TGMC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the Gideon's. US Navy ======================
