Leroy “Lee-Lee” J. Chauvin passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving 
family on Monday October 5, 2015. 
He was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Pearland, TX.

He was an oyster wholesaler and the owner of Lee’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Leroy was 
the beloved husband to the late Leona Cheramie Chauvin.

He is survived by his children Mary C. DuBois and devoted son-in-law Kenny 
DuBois, Tina C. Maier, Amy Chauvin, and Tim and Jackie Chauvin. Surviving 
grandchildren include Melanie, Sylvia, Brooke, Nikki, Chris, Mathew, Leona, 
Ivy, and Melissa. Great grandchildren Irene, Mya, Sydney, Alexia, Lennon M., 
Ennis, and Lennon P.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Vivian Chauvin, son Peter 
Chauvin, granddaughter Jamie Lee DuBois and siblings LJ Chauvin and Hilda 
Detiveaux.

The family would like to extend special thanks to his dedicated and loving 
caregiver (who he affectionately called “my wife”) Chanelle Lovely-Behn.

Funeral arrangements will be provided by Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, LA. 
Visitation will be Thursday evening October 8, 2015 from 6pm to 9pm at Chauvin 
Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held Friday October 9, 2015 at 
St. Francis Cathedral, Houma, LA from 8:30 am to 10 am followed by mass and 
funeral.
