Ione Thibodeaux Duet, 99, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Thibodaux, 
passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015. 
She was born Jan. 4, 1916. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, Oct. 6, at St. 
Genevieve Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday 
at the church, 

with burial in St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. 

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia D. Vaughn and husband Billy; 
grandchildren, Terry Thibodeaux, Ricky Thibodeaux, Billy Thibodeaux, Peggy T. 
Ricouard, Laurie Richard and Kelly R. Bourgeois; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 
great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Ervin J. Duet; parents 
Seraphin and Alida B. Thibodeaux; children, Peggy Louise Duet, Ervin J. Duet 
Jr. and Kathryn D. Thibodeaux; and siblings, Dennis Thibodeaux, George 
Thibodeaux, Eddie Thibodeaux, Annette T. Arcement, Georgette T. Aysen and Mae 
T. Aucoin. 

Ione belonged to St. Genevieve Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the 
America. 
In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling around the country with her 
husband. 
She also enjoyed spending time playing cards, doing puzzles, watching TV game 
shows and being with her family. She lived a long fulfilling life and was loved 
by many. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
