Eldridge "Blackie" Durocher, 79, a native and resident of Thibodaux, passed 
away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at Thibodaux Funeral 
Home and from 10 a.m. until funeral time on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at St. 
Genevieve Catholic Church, Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 1 p.m. 

with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Bergeron Durocher; sons, Jerry 
J. Durocher and Billy J. Durocher; daughter, Patricia "Susie" Truxillo and 
husband Paul; brothers, Jessie Cressionie and Terry Lombas; sister, Vidalia 
Legendre; grandchildren, Billy "B.J." Durocher and wife Melina, Nicole 
Durocher, Tyler Babin and wife Cara, and Crystal Durocher; and great-
grandchildren, Ericah Durocher, Joseph Durocher, Myles Landry, Phillip Durocher 
and Avery Babin.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ivy Ordoyne; parents, Virginia 
Durocher and Louis Cressionie Sr.; brothers, Jerry Cressionie and Louis 
Cressionie Jr.; and sister, Delores Porche.
