He was a native of Venice and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Benoit Fitzgerald; sons, Michael W. Fitzgerald and wife, Diane, and Allan B. Fitzgerald and wife, Rushelle; daughter, Sheryl F. Buquet and husband, Jerry; Stepson, Seth Rodriguez; stepdaughter, Candace Rink and husband, Danny; brothers, Robert "Bob" Fitzgerald and wife, Waltraud, Danny W. Fitzgerald and wife, Jeanie, and Larry S. Fitzgerald and wife, Wendy; sisters, Ann F. Carter and husband, Cecil, Kim F. Smith and husband, Keith, and Sandy L. Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Brandy LeBoeuf, Jeremy Fitzgerald, Jamie Welch, Kevin, Erin and Shawn Fitzgerald; step grandchild, Alivia Rink; 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Cecilia Scarabin Fitzgerald; parents, John and Myrtle Gaudet Fitzgerald; sister, Vergie F. Smith; great grandchild, Lilly Ann Martin. He was retired from Fitzgerald Inspection, Inc. He was a 32 Degree Master Mason, Scottish Rites, and Shriner of Jerusalem. He enjoyed being around family and friends. He was very supportive of local law enforcement agencies. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. ======================
