He was 75 years old. He was known to many as “Boogaloo” and as a person who loved to tell jokes. He had a quick wit. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm. Jimmy is survived by his children, Cindy Tingle, Patty Savoie, Jamie Lewallen and David St. John and his sisters Gloria King and Debbie St. John. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mell Bergeron St. John and his sister Sylvia Parks and brother Slugger St. John. He played football for St. Francis de Sales Boys School and is the only person to letter in football for 5 consecutive years. He went to college at SLI which is now ULL in Lafayette and played football there. As most men his age Jimmy worked in the oilfield in many capacities until he retired. Everyone who knew him knew that he was a loyal LSU Tiger fan and we know that he will still be rooting for the Tigers on Saturdays to come. ======================
