Darrell Gene Brown, 53, a resident of Thibodaux, passed away at 6:57 p.m. on 
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 
21 at Magnolia United Methodist Church 

with burial in Blue Lily Cemetery. 

He is survived by his mother, Sarah Louise Brown; aunts, Beverly B. Verdine 
(Coke), Carol M. Hugh, and Helen M. Joseph; great aunts, Ruby J. Alkamape, 
Daisy Victor, and Gerturde Brown; godchildren, Rosalyn Johnson and Michael 
Jackson, Jr.; godsisters, Elder Gail B. VanDoorne and Cherita Lagarde; 
godbrothers, Corey A. Smith and Willie Brown, Jr; a special cousin Rosemary 
Shanklin; and a devoted friend, Dexter Reed. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Williams and Thelma Brown Hugh 
and Thomas Brown; uncle, James T. Brown; and cousin, Sidney Smith, III. 

Jones Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
