Crochet, 69, a native of Houma and a resident of Bayou Blue, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 and from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Falgout Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales cemetery I. He is survived by his wife, Elvera "Vera" Crochet; son, Kent (Lesley) Crochet; daughters, Kristi (David) Cotton and Kylie (Petey) Kern; and grandchildren, Brooke, Ryan, Macie, Sawyer, and Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wenzel and Nina B. Crochet. Gary was a U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam. He retired from Texaco in 1999 after 31 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, who loved spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to thank Bayou Dularge Fire Dept., Wildlife and Fisheries, Terrebonne Parish Water Patrol, Assumption Parish Water Patrol, Coast Guard, Russell Redmond, Ryan Giles, Falgoust Marina, Ashton DeHart and all our friends and family for all your support and prayers.
