Dorothy Margaret Marcel, 71, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, Nov. 
29, 2015 at 8:18 a.m. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to until service on Thursday, Dec. 3 at St. 
Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 
11 a.m. Thursday at the Church, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. 

She is survived by her sons, Cary Guercio and Steve Guercio; daughter, Tammy 
Guercio; brothers, Edward Richard and Wayne Richard; sisters, Meryl Aycock and 
June Fischer; grandchildren, Jonathan Neal and Beth Pinel; and great-
grandchild, Gavin Pinel. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Richard and Dorothy Boquet 
Richard; spouse, Junel Marcel. 

She was a member/parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She 
was a devoted Catholic who was in love with her faith and her Lord. 
She devoted much of her time to Saint Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She 
had a great love and devotion to the Holy Rosary. She enjoyed playing bingo and 
swimming at the YMCA. 
She was a former Avon representative. Dorothy never met a stranger. 

She had many friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
