Murphy "Pawpee" Joseph Marie, 84, a native and a resident of Chauvin, passed 
away peacefully Saturday, November 07, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

Murphy was a hard working and devoted husband and father. His children and 
grandchildren were his life. He was a member of The United States Army. 
Longtime fisherman and net maker. He was a man of few words but when he spoke 
it meant everything. He will be sadly missed by all. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. 
Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 
November 11, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chauvin, LA.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chauvin, LA.

He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 55 years, Elaine Smith Marie
Daughters - Becky Vining and husband Joey, Melissa Theriot and husband Craig 
and Tiffany Marie
Son - Marty Marie and wife Shoney
Sisters - Virginia Champagne, Diane Champagne and Lita Beniot and husband 
Allen.
Brothers - Perry, Michael, Perry Charles and Mack Marie
Grand grandchildren - Jessie, Amber, Casey, Brett, Jeremy, Jade, Derek, 
Heather, Dallas, Keara and Debra
Great Grandchildren - 16

Preceded in death:
Parents - Oris and Cornelia Foret Marie
Brothers - John "Junior" Marie and Roy Marie
Sister - Cecelia Rash
Grandson - Tommy James Rogers Jr.
