Visitation will be on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9am - 11am Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Burial will be held at a later date Survived by Wife of 44 years- Glenda (Lirette) Parker Sons- Joe Jr. and wife Wanda (Ledet), Bruce, and Lance (Sr.) Parker Grandchildren- Megan Barrios (Devin), Madilyn Pennison (Arthur, Jr.), Brenden Parker, and Lance (L.J.) Parker, Jr. Great Grandchildren- Remi Pennison and Jep Barrios Mother- Edna Merritt Parker Page Sisters- Cora Crosby and Jane Austin and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends Preceded in death by Father- Bruce Parker Stepfather- Clyde Page Brothers- James and John Parker Sisters- Johnnie Smith and Linda Lee Malley He was a member of the Village East Fire Department, where he recieved "Rookie of the Year". He was a member of the Chauvin Lions Club and a Charter member of the T-Caillou Lions Club, where he recieved the Melvin Jones Award. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, and carpentary. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his adopted grandchildren, Travis Ledet, Sydney Hebert, Gavin Autin, Mae-Anna and Lee-Anna Hebert, and Katelyn Celstin In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samart Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
