Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux from 8:30 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Percle Chiasson and husband Eric Chiasson; son, Brandon Percle; granddaughters, Amalee Chiasson, Gianna Percle and expected grandchild in December 2015; mother, Evelyn Ledet Benoit Toups and her husband Gerald Toups; siblings, Angela Benoit, Debbie Benoit Chaisson and her husband Wade Chaisson; step brothers and sisters; Mark Toups and wife Pam; Todd Toups and wife Laurie; and Krista Toups. She is preceded in death by her father, Alex Benoit. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to set up a scholarship fund at a local college for single mothers furthering their education. Stephanie was a 1982 graduate of Thibodaux High School. She began her nursing career as a License Practical Nurse in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1991. Not long after graduating, she became supervisor of a pediatric clinic there. After 4 years as an LPN, she relocated back to Thibodaux and began waitressing at Doug's Restaurant while at the same time attended classes at Nichols State University with intent to further her education to become a registered nurse. She accomplished her goal, graduating in 2000 from Nichols State University as a registered nurse. Her last position held was at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in the Ambulatory Care Unit for the past 5 years. It is obvious that Stephanie was destined for this profession as she always put others' needs ahead of her own. She touched many lives and formed many bonds throughout her career. She was a recipient of the Daisy Award at Terrebonne General Medical Center and was often recognized in patient satisfaction surveys at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. She encompassed all qualities of a great mother and took pride in being a "Mimi". Time spent with her children and granddaughters is what made her happiest. She also enjoyed dancing and "passing a good time" with friends as she was always up for a celebration. Stephanie did not want the exceptional care that she received at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center to go unrecognized. We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for her. Especially the staff in the Intensive Care Unit and at the Cancer Center, Dr. Arias, Dr. Ellis, Dr. Perez, Dr. Plaisance and Dr. McInnis. Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the funeral arrangements. ======================
