Paul Elwood Seemann Jr., 59, a long-time resident of Thibodaux, passed away 
after a short battle with liver cancer on Monday Oct. 12, 2015, in Houston, 
Texas, where he was receiving treatment. 

Memorial visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Landry's 
Funeral Home in Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife Robbie Charlene Bostick 
Seemann; his mother Margaret Gann Lalande Seemann; his son Jeffrey Karl 
Seemann; his daughter Dr. Amanda Lee Seemann; his granddaughter Harper 
Elizabeth Seemann; and his sister Deborah "Debbie" Seemann Laurent. 

He was preceded in death by his father Paul E. Seemann Sr. 

Dr. Seemann was born in New Orleans on Sept. 26, 1956, to Paul Elwood Seemann 
Sr. and Margaret Gann Lalande Seemann. He graduated from LSU's School of 
Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He and Dr. Dawn Koetting, his business partner, 
purchased Ridgefield Animal Hospital in 1985. Dr. Seemann's distinguished 32-
year career included becoming one of the state's first private practice 
diplomats by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in companion 
animals. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that people share a memory of him in 
the form of a note, email or letter for his granddaughter, who was born Oct. 
14, 2015. 

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
