Lawrence Thomas Sr., 75, a native and resident of Houma, passed away peacefully 
at 3:17 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 
7 at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 

with burial IN New Rising Sun Baptist Church cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Jacklin Davis Thomas; sons, Lawrence, Jr. 
(Rosalind) Thomas and Carlos (Cynthia) Thomas; grandchildren, DeMard (Satoria) 
Thomas, Anissa (Quincey) McKay, Leveron Scott, Yoshika and Sierra Thomas; eight 
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha (Joseph) Townsend and Shirley Martin; 
two brothers, Wilbert (Dorothy) Thomas and Nathanial Thomas; and a host of 
other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his twin sons; his parents, Nathan and Zenobia 
Thomas; one sister, Mildred Thomas; maternal grandparents, Ben and Cora Livas-
Jackson; paternal grandparents, Martha and Lawrence Thomas; niece, Tiffany 
Townsend Pledger; aunts, Lille Mae Parker, Ora Mae Jackson, Cora Robinson, 
Deborah Coleman; and one uncle, Wilbert Jackson. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
