Bruce Besson, Sr., 75, passed away, Tuesday December 22, 2015. 
He was a resident and native of Thibodaux, LA. 

Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing all his life. He 
was a friend and father figure to all who knew him. 
He was a Marine Corps veteran, and a former police officer. He was a family 
man, poetic soul, and a hero with serenity, courage, and wisdom. He will be 
forever missed.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 9AM until funeral time 
at Thibodaux Funeral Home and Religious Services will be held at 11AM at the 
funeral home, 

with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara O’Neal Besson; sons, Chef Patrick Besson 
and Shawn Besson; daughter, Rebecca Besson; grandchildren, 6; great-
grandchildren, 2.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Hazel Dantin Besson; Bruce 
Besson, Jr.
