ÒBillyÓ Gautreaux, 85, a native of Des Allemands, and resident of Bourg, died Sunday, December, 6, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, December 11 at 9:00 A.M. with memorial service following at 11:00 A.M. at Vision Christian Center in Bourg. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Beverly Arceneaux Gautreaux, and six children, Karen Arceneaux Matherne, husband Steve, Kevin Arceneaux, wife Denise, Mark Arceneaux, wife Adelyn, Denise Arceneaux Belanger, husband Mark, William Gautreaux, and Lynette Gautreaux and eleven grandchildren, Laurie Matherne Stine, Jaimie Matherne, Jonathan Matherne, Tara Arceneaux, Kami Arceneaux, Jeremy Arceneaux, Monique Arceneaux, Allyson Arceneaux, Wesley Belanger, Erin Belanger, Kent Belanger, three great grandchildren, Kevin Stine, Connor Stine, Kambri Tapia. He was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Irene Gautreaux. He lived his life as an extraordinary servant of Christ. He was an avid sportsman and devoted LSU fan. In 1963 he married Beverly and her four children. He was a proud father of six children. He was affectionately know as ÒMr. GÓ to his students that he taught throughout Terrebonne Parish for nearly 40 years, ÒBilly BassÓ to his fishing buddies, and ÒPawpaw BillyÓ to his grandchildren. He loved teaching his class of ÒTweenerÕsÓ at Vision Christian Center. His faith, family, fishing, and football were his enjoyment and passion.
