He was a native of Lockport, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Marie Guidry, son, Blake Phillip Guidry, daughter, Betsy Ann Guidry, step-sons, Kerry P. Bonvillain and Rod A. (Estelle) Bonvillain, grandchildren, Saadi Guidry Spiers, Shana Guidry Wickersham, Byron Guidry, Dustin Lennep, Eric Roesky, Amy Burton, step-grandchildren, Bryan Bonvillain, Ryan Bonvillain, Rod Bonvillain, Jr., Allen Bonvillain, ten great- grandchildren, sisters, Gloria M. Guidry, JoAnn G. Belanger, Gayle A. Crosby, Sister Mary Elizabeth Guidry, brothers, Perry (Robin) Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Guidry, Sr., and Myrtle Arceneaux Green, former wife, Norma Jane Duplantis Guidry, son, Brad J. Guidry, sisters, Betty Foret, and step-sisters, Nelwood Adams, Nora Gautreaux, Joyce Oney. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Alex retired from Halliburton Servicers. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
