Lloyd "Rip" Johnson Sr., age 73, a native and resident of Houma, passed away 
peacefully at 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 2: p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2 
at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 146 Banks Street in Houma, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Riley-Johnson; three sons, Lloyd Jr., Troy, 
and Rev, Freddie Johnson Sr.; three daughters, Lois Johnson and Sheryl and 
Barbara Williams; sixteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Edward Williams; his parents, 
Sylvester, Sr. and Jennie Williams Johnson; brothers, Freddie and Sylvester 
Johnson Jr.; and sisters, Julia J. Harris and Geneva J. Smith. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
