He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Bourg, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Elie Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Thibodeaux, daughter, Caffie Pellegrin, sister, Ruth “Sis” Deroche, brothers, Roland (Marie) Luke and Rudy (Rebelee) Luke, grandchildren, Lani (Douglas Walling, Jr.) Pellegrin, Joshua (Robin) Pellegrin and Taylor Pellegrin and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. Luke Sr. and Stella Fanguy Luke, brothers, Ray Luke and Albert J. Luke, Jr., sister, Dorothy Robichaux, brother-in-laws, Bruce Robichaux, Lera Deroche, sister-in-law, Lois Luke and son-in-law, Ricky Pellegrin. Howard was a member of the “Easy Does It Club” for over 30 years. He was a United States Army Veteran and worked at Mobil Oil as a pumper up until his retirement. He was an excellent cook and an avid gardener. People from all over sought Howard out for his hogshead cheese. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Howard to the Bayou Blue Senior Citizens Center or Terrebonne Parish Council on Aging. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. US Army ======================
