Eula Cecile McElroy nee Fremin died peacefully on December 26, 2015. 
She was 98 years old. 
Eula was born April 7, 1917 in Mathews, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana to 
Siphorien Fremin and Amelie Gauthreaux Fremin.

Eula attended Ella K. Hooper School for Girls, now known as MacDonell 
Children’s Services, as a young girl. As an adult, Eula worked as a housekeeper 
and child care worker for years in Houma and Thibodaux, LA. She lived in Bayou 
Towers for over 25 years and enjoyed the monthly birthday parties and coffee 
downstairs each morning.  She has been long time parishioner of St. Matthew’s 
Episcopal Church and was faithful in attendance.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herman James McElroy.

Her friends would like to thank Chateau Terrebonne and especially Andrea 
Grogan, her nurse, for their kindness and care in her final years.

Services will be grave side in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray, Louisiana at 
10:00am on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
