Hubert Joseph Melancon, 91, was born on July 13, 1924 and passed away 
peacefully on December 9, 2015. 
He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Schriever, LA.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Christ the Redeemer 
Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will take place at 10:30 AM, 

with a military burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Gary Melancon and wife Mary Lee; daughter, Geraldine 
Melancon Eusea and husband Gary; stepsons, Jeff LeBouef, Pat LeBouef, Robie 
LeBouef, and Corey Lebouef; companion, Hilda O’Brien; brother, Ivy Melancon; 
sisters, Lorraine Trepagnier and Dorothy Jennings; several grandchildren, great 
grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Talbot Melancon, second 
wife, Mildred “Jo” Melancon; sons, Michael Melancon and Mark Melancon; parents, 
Nelson Joseph Melancon and Elma Rita Ledet Melancon; brothers, Ira Melancon and 
Nelson J. Melancon, Jr., and great great grandbaby, Jordan Savoie.

He was a veteran of WWII and received the Purple Heart.
Landry’s Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements.
