Benjamin William Melendez, 49. A native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, LA died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 12:30 a.m. at his residence.

Mr. Melendez will have visitation at Community Funeral Home on Friday, January 
1, 2016 from 1:00-5:00p.m.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Melendez will be held at Community 
Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA on Saturday January 2, 2016 at 
11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Deweyville Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Delores Melendez. Four sisters, Betty 
Juengain, Elizabeth, Kisha and Sandra Melendez. Four brothers, Philip and 
Raymond Melendez and Ernest and Jessie Lightell; 18 nieces and nephews, 32 
great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Melendez, Sr., and 
grandparents, Elizabeth Hawkins Johnson and Morris Johnson.
