Lonnie Nelson, age 59, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Raceland, 
quietly answered heaven's call on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015. 

Visiting will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 10 a.m. on 
Saturday, Dec. 12 at New Vision Christian Community Church in Raceland, 

with burial in Morristown Cemetery. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Nola Nelson; 1 son, Kenyon Bradly; 
1 daughter, Dinah Nelson; 8 brothers, Darryl, Dante, Bufford, Darquntan and 
Walter Nelson, Harold and Bryan Caine and Aaron Major; 3 sisters, Suzzette and 
Kaygel Nelson and Zelle Major; 5 grandchildren, Aydines Celestine, Travis 
Shavis, D'Mari Nelson, Pascal Herbert and Kloe Booker. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Nelson, Walter Major and Burl 
Caine. 

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
