Visitation will be from held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Services will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery. Corine is survived by her loving niece, Geralyn "Jay" Talbot and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Norman "Poonie" Pitre; parents, Wilfred and Olesia Robichaux Bourgeois; seven sisters, Mae (Gus) Theriot, Una (Ferdinand) Robichaux, Nootsy (Merille) Foret, Ida (Mick) Sampia, Inez (Cullen) Talbot, Vera (Dalmas) Danos, infant sister Sadie and two brothers, Jessie (Evelyn) Bourgeois and George (Lorraine) Bourgeois. Corine (or "Sista" as she was affectionately called) was a very soft spoken, sincere, and kindhearted woman. Throughout her entire life, she treated everyone she met as an old friend. Together with her late husband they enjoyed simple things – swinging on their front yard swing in late afternoons; eating out for lunch; doing yardwork, listening to their favorite country music and going to 4:00 mass every Saturday. Special thanks to all who lovingly looked after and cared for Corine including, Dr. Michael Marcello, Dr. Jamie Huddleston, Dr. Raja Talluri, Thibodaux Regional and Ochsner St. Ann Hospital and their E.R. Departments, Acadian Ambulance Services, Nurses and CNA's of "A" wing at Audubon Health & Rehab, St. Catherine's Hospice, and all her sitters that cared for her when she was in Raceland. And finally, a very heartfelt thank-you to ALL present (and past) employees of Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Since 1940, being next door neighbors to Corinne and Norman produced a life-long friendship that was truly a treasure to both of them.
