Peggy Ordoyne Toups, 72, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, 
December 8, 2015.

Visitation will be from 8:30am until funeral time on Saturday, December 12th at 
St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30am and 
a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by three daughters, Anne Toups Duke and husband, Stuart, Julie 
Toups Adolph and husband, Gene, and Jennifer Toups; grandchildren, Regan 
Adolph, Spencer Adolph, Wesley Adolph, William Duke and Zachary Duke.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Roland Joseph Toups, her 
parents, Sidney Antoine Ordoyne and Lucille Andras Ordoyne, and her brothers, 
Herman Ordoyne, Sr. and Sidney Antoine Ordoyne, Jr.

Peggy was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and participated 
in the Jacob’s Ladder ministry at St. Joseph. She was retired from Nicholls 
State University after more than 30 years of service as secretary to the Dean 
of the College of Education.

Special thanks to the attentive and devoted staff in the Critical Care Unit of 
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Masses are preferred or donations may be made to 
St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
