David James "Slick" Williams, 58, a native and resident of Houma, passed away 
peacefully at 11:17 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31 
at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 524 Andrew Street in Houma, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

He is survived by his brothers, Lawrence and Levy Boykins; sisters, Patricia 
Ruffn (Charlie), Betty Boykins, Mary Miller (Anthony), Rosalie Miller 
(Frederick), Barbara Boykins and Doralee Cooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, 
others relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Dora William Boykins; 
brother, Joseph Boykins; sisters, Lilly Dangerfield and Bertha Stewart; 
grandparents, Lovenia Pinky, Russell Williams, Bertha and Joseph Boykins; 
nephews, Terrell Ruffin Sr. and Dontrell Boykins; great nephews, Terrell Ruffin 
Jr. and Marcus Williams; and a great niece, Kiara Ruffin. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
