Samuel Adams, Sr. departed this life on Wed. Dec. 30, 2015 at his residence in 
Chesapeake, VA. He was 78, a native of Thibodaux, LA. 

Visitation at St. Luke Catholic Church, Thibodaux, LA on Saturday Jan. 9, 2016 
from 10:00am to Religious Services at 11:00am, Father Diederick Carl and Deacon 
Martin Dickerson, officiating. 

Burial in the Moses Baptist Church Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Rosa Mae 
Carr Adams; 1 son, Samuel C. Adams, Jr.; 2 daughters, Sonia Adams and Roxanne 
Meads (Troy, Sr.); 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Eddie Adams, Jr. and Mike 
VanBuren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Preceded in death by his father, Eddie Adams, Sr. and his mother Julia Adams 
VanBuren; 2 sisters, Estelle Brown and Louise Henry; 1 grandson, Jamychell 
Mitchell.
