BABIN, GERTRUDE 
    DIED: January 15, 2016

Gertrude Dupre Babin, age 81, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Houma, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., 
with burial to follow in the church cemetery.She is survived by her daughter, 
Elizabeth Babin; and brother, Marvin Dupre (Maude).

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Babin; parents, Willey and 
Loricia Bourg Dupre; and sisters, Rita Hebert and Rosemary Dupre.Gertrude 
retired from the Houma Courier and was the owner of Gertrude's Snowballs on 
Morrison Ave
