Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1601.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Vera Weber Cantrelle, a native of New Orleans and resident the past 38 years of Raceland, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, age 85. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, with burial to follow in St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church cemetery. Vera is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline C. Englade and Christine C. McDonnell (Joe); brother, Warren Weber; sister, Ella Jennamen; five grandchildren, Erica Breaux, Daniel Pierce, Cody Pierce, Dustin Pierce, Amber Daigle; and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edgar Antoine Cantrelle Jr.; father, Frederick Weber; mother, Vivian Babin Weber; sisters, Norma Pitre, Marion Brissette and son-in-law, Jody Englade. Vera loved working in her rose garden and cutting her grass, even in her later years. The family would like to thank Vera's incredible neighbors for their devotion and support. The family also wishes to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their compassionate care.
