Visitation will be held from 11a.m. until service time Friday, Jan. 8 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Phillip M. Chabert (Lynette), Kenneth J. Chabert (Kathy), Drake J. Chabert (Andrea); grandchildren, Phillip M. Chabert Jr. (Lacy), Guy Chabert (Lacie), Jill Chabert, Lance Chabert and Faith Chabert; great-grandchildren, Jack Chabert and Payton Brantley; and sisters, Amelia Pitre, Vivian Mayet, Nina Bourg and Dora Curole. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Jane St. Pierre Chabert; parents, Charles L. Chabert and Ellia Terrebonne Chabert; step-son, Dennis Falgout; and brother, Edwis Chabert. Mr. Chabert was a member of Golden Meadows Fire Department, several Veteran organizations as well as several Church organizations. He was a U.S. Navy W.W.II Veteran and retiree of Texaco.
