Bill passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness with his loving family at his bedside. Bill was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church where he volunteered for the children’s religious education program and was an active servant for the men’s ACTS retreats. His Friday evening prayer group meant the world to him. He was employed by Calcasieu Parish and treasured the friends he had on his work crew. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and football. He loved spending time visiting with friends and family. Bill is survived by his parents, Frances and Bill Clements, Sr., of Thibodaux, LA. He is also survived by his brother Brian Clements and wife Becky of Lake Charles, LA, and by his two sisters, Martha Guillot and husband Edward of Mandeville, LA, and Renee Lucas of Thibodaux, LA. Bill’s greatest joy was being “Uncle Billy” to Taylor Clements and wife Camryn (with baby Mason on the way), Ben Clements, Abigail Guillot, Jacob Guillot, Ashley Lucas, Ellie Clements, Lindsey Lucas, and Zeffrey Lucas. Bill is also survived by a stepson, Bradley Calvert of Shelbyville, KY. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Michele, of Shelbyville, KY, and by his loving grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Francis Ducasse of New Orleans, LA and Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Clements of Shelbyville, KY. Bill’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m with burial to follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. Pallbearers will be Taylor Clements, Ben Clements, Jacob Guillot, Mike Moore, Jeff Moore, Kyle Carpenter, and Jerry LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Zeffrey Lucas and Ricky Hanks. Craig Broussard, and Dr. Gregory Rubino, as well as by the dedicated and loving staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
