Lefort, Sr. 82, a native of Cut Off and resident of Bush passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, January 8, 20- 16 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Roosevelt F. Lefort, Jr.; daughters, Sylvia Lefort, Cynthia Watts (Barry), Annette Lefort; sister, Rita Marie Rousse; ½ sister, Clarice Danos; grandchildren, Dawn Thomassie (Nathan), Sandy Cross (Brad), Lisa Freeman (Andy), Patricia Thomas (Cole), Nikita Gonzales, Natricia Fillinich (Zack)Jessie Joseph Gonzales, Jr., Natasha Gonzales, Brian J. Lafort and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clemence G. "Bodo" Lefort; parents, Alcee, Sr. and Lelia Lafort; brother, Alcee Lefort, Jr.; sister, Mae Lafort; grandchild, Nadine Gonzales.
