Harold Joseph Legendre, 84, a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of 
Schriever, LA, died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016. 
He was born April 10, 1931. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 31 from 5-9 p.m. at Thibodaux Funeral 
Home. Visitation will resume on Monday, Feb. 1 from 8-11 a.m. at St. Bridget 
Catholic Church in Schriever, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 
a.m. in the church 

followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. 

He is the husband to his wife of 46 years, Kathleen Pennison Legendre; son of 
the late Regina "Maw Maw Fatty" Legendre; brother of Patricia Braud Daigle and 
husband Verlon and the late Raymond Legendre, Floyd Legendre, Ninette Braud 
Aucoin, Curtis Braud, Patrick Braud; grandson of the late Oscar Legendre and 
Mary Bonvillain Legendre; father of Debra Chauvin and husband Ronald, Jennifer 
Foster and husband Daniel, Mark Legendre and wife Stephanie, Kyle Legendre and 
fiance Naomi Eschete; grandfather of Wade Chauvin and wife Chrissy, Bryan 
Cunningham and wife Lindsey, Jamie Manning and husband Adam, Jason Cunningham 
and wife Nancy, Becky Holliman and husband Jody, Lani Legendre, Kari, Luke, 
Kadi, Liam, Kort, Logan, Tre, Hunter, Evan, Bella, and Hailey Holland; great-
grandfather to Cole and Cade Chauvin, Cooper Cunningham, Summerlynn, Thomas and 
Jaxon Manning, Lily, Sydney, Macy, and Cole Cunningham, Jordan, Elijah, Andrew, 
Alexia, Haylee Hough; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. 

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
