Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1601.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Joyce Ledet Ougel, 87, a native and resident of Larose, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 18, 2016. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until funeral time at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose on Thursday, January 21, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon at the church with burial to follow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in Larose. She is survived by her five children: son, Johnny Ougel and wife Carolyn; daughters Karen Knight, Sharon Ougel, and Vicki Chaisson and husband Anthony and son Danny Ougel and wife Debbie. She is also survived by grandchildren Tanya Dassau (Dennis), Jay Ougel (Cassie), Christa Ougel, Kelly Knight (Sean), Jenny Ougel (Terry Sonnier), Rachel Delaune (Troy Griffin), Erin McCall (Lance), Danny Ougel Jr., Scottie Ougel (Hannah), and Brandi LeBlanc (Jarus); great- grandchildren Trevis Hopkins, Benjamin Dassau, Sloan Ougel, Caleb Ougel, Raven Ledet (Blake), Jordan Landry, Rylie Ougel, Nickolei Hellemn, Karson Ougel, Jude Bouziga, and Brooklyn LeBlanc; and great-great-grandchild Addison Ledet. Also survived by brothers Neil, Jack, and Allen Ledet; sisters Dorina Columbel, Lee Guidroz, Ruby Lefort, Trudy Bourg, and Evelyn Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland 'Pye' Ougel, grandson John Caleb Ougel, and granddaughter Nikki Landry, great-grandson Jacob Chaisson, and grandson-in-law Todd Delaune; parents Emile A. Ledet and Ella Falgout Ledet, brothers Liberal (L.J.), Edward (Eddie), Maurie, and Glenn; and sister, Earline Matherne. Ms. Joyce was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and a retired Post Master of the Larose Post Office. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved spending time with her family. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Southern Care Hospice for their care and compassion, and to Jada Martinez for her help and compassion in caring for Ms. Joyce.
