He was born in Gulfport, MS., on June 1, 1964. He graduated from LSU with honors with a degree in microbiology, opting for a vocation in Catholic ministry in lieu of medical school. He graduated from Notre Dame Seminary and Graduate School of Theology Summa Cum Laude with a master’s degree in Divinity and was ordained a Catholic priest on June 5, 1993. Adrian was a gifted, intelligent soul whose first love was his ministry to God as a Catholic priest in the diocese of Baton Rouge. Upon completion of his priestly ministry, Adrian worked in various jobs until graduating from Tulane University with honors with a master’s degree in social work and finding his second calling as a social worker and director of student counseling services at the University of New Orleans. Adrian is survived by his parents Henry W. Péré, Jr and Kate Camille Porche Péré of Prairieville; his brothers Henry W. Pere III and wife Shari of Prairieville, David Péré of Baton Rouge, Wayne Péré of Baton Rouge, and sister Jeanne Péré Dawson and husband Michael of Baton Rouge; Godsons (nephews) Nikolas Parson, and girlfriend, Julie Pascal and Christian Péré; nephews, Landon Warren Péré, Henry W Péré IV, Isaak Dawson and Jason Péré; Nieces, Brittany Parson and fiancée Jason Sillstrop, Chelsea Péré and fiancée Nick Skias, Camille Péré, and boyfriend, Alfred Cook III, Kaitlin Parson and fiancée Nick McCleave, and Carley Péré; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at St. Francis de Sales Co-Cathedral (500 Goode St, Houma, LA 70360) on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. until the start of a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be his nephews Nikolas Parson, Landon Warren Péré, Christian Péré, Henry W. Péré IV, Isaak Dawson, and Jason Péré. Burial will follow in a private ceremony on a date to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Adrian’s name to the Archdiocese of New Orleans or to the Office of Family (Life or Ministries). ======================
