He was a native of Abbeville, LA and resident of Houma. Visitation will be held on January 8, 2016 at Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Gregory Barbarigo from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church in Houma. Burial will follow at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by daughters, Mary Lou Pizzolatto, Antionette “Toni” Guidry and Cynthia P. Templet, special companion, Eunice J. Allemand, Jr., grandchildren, Paul A. Guidry, Peter J. (Emily Liner) Guidry, Christopher E (Melanie Fabre) Gaudet, Brian A. (Holly Onclae) Gaudet, great-grandchildren, Braden A. Gaudet, Ava C. Gaudet and Sophia B. Gaudet, Emilyn M. Guidry and Averi B. Guidry, Ryan and Katie Barton Guidry, great-great granddaughter, Ava Guidry, special friends, Eunice J. Allemand Jr., Tommy Braud, Russell Guidry, Ed Morris and Dr. Charles Spence, numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore Pizzolatto and Josephine Grado Pizzolatto, wife, Ara Plessala Pizzolatto, siblings, Sarah P. Baker, Louis Pizzolatto, Leonard “Leo” Pizzolatto, Virginia “Jenny” P Alesi, Louis Pizzolatto, Mary P. Belanger, Dorothy P. Partana, Joseph “Joe” Pizzolatto, Lucille P. Kober, Nicholas “Nick” Pizzolatto, Rosalie P. Chambers, Rita P. Nicholson and son-in-laws, Michael J. Templet. and Robley “Dopey” Guidry, Jr., grandson, Steven Guidry, nieces, Elizabeth P. Chauvin, Barbara K. Viator and Angelina M. Taylor. Anthony started his career working for Butane; then eventually became a self- employed plumber, operating A & J Plumbing and Heating Service. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1942to 1945. He is also a veteran of World War II. Bishop Hanna appointed him as Eucharistic Minister for St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in 1975. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 3700 where he served many offices such as commander. He was also a member of American Legion Post 31. Anthony also served as a volunteer at Terrebonne General Medical Center. He taught bowling lessons at the V.F.W. Bowling Alley for many years. He enjoyed working the V.F.W. Bingo Games, playing Santa Clause for the children attending T.A.R.C. He enjoyed bowling and remained bowling until the age of 87. Anthony also enjoyed telling stories about his days at sea during World War II. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
