Visitation will be held from 6pm until 9pm at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Monday, January 18, 2016 and on Tuesday, January 19 from 9 am until 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at the church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Galliano. She is survived by her children; Calvin Plaisance and wife Audrey and Elaine P. Callais and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Ken Plaisance, Theresa Fern (Dale), Gavin Callais (Dolly), Bruce Callais (Connie), Lee Callais (Jane), Abdon Callais and Renée C. Karas (Brien); great grandchildren, Megan C. Hebert (Matt), Stephen Callais (Meagan), Jacob Callais (Emily), Erin Callais, Andrew Callais, Caroline Callais, Kristyn Conor, Jordan Plaisance, Madison Plaisance and Mela Karas; great great granddaughters, Cecilia Rose Callais and Piper Grace Callais and brother, Joseph Cheramie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene "TB" J. Plaisance; her parents, Lufroid Cheramie and Pauline Guidry Cheramie; brothers, Renis Cheramie, Rene Cheramie; sisters, Edelia Eymard, Felinise Gisclair and Thelma Gisclair. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society for many years. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses, CNAs and staff of the Broadway Elder Living for their care and compassion.
