Irene Cecile Marcel Rhodes, age 86, a native and resident of Houma, passed away 
Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 at 7:25 AM. 

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on 
Saturday, Jan. 23 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, 

with burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, Stephen Rhodes and wife, Vickie; brothers, Robert 
Marcel and Ray Marcel; sister, Shirley M. Hernandez; grandchildren, Allyson 
Kyzar, Anna Rhodes, and Thomas Rhodes; and great-grandchildren, Braden and 
Emily Kyzar. 

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Clifton Joseph Rhodes Sr.; parents, 
Wilson Marcel Sr. and Adele Bernard Marcel; sons, Clifton Rhodes Jr. and Guy 
Rhodes; brothers, Wilson Marcel Jr.. and Thomas Marcel; and grandson, Joseph 
Rhodes; and sisters, Yvette M. Hebert, Jeanne M. Daigle and Enid M. Fergueson. 

Irene enjoyed dancing and painting. 

The family would like to thank Heritage Manor and Haydel Memorial Hospice for 
their love and care. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society. 

Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
