She was a former resident of Supreme, La, Thibodaux La. and a recent resident of Lafayette, La. Aunt Dot, as she was affectionately known, was born in Plattenville, La. on December 31, 1916. She graduated from L.T. High School then attended Marinello Beauty School in New Orleans, La. She owned and operated her Beauty Shop in Thibodaux La. for many years before selling it and becoming a homemaker. They resided in Supreme La, for many years while her husband “Bud” worked for Supreme Sugar Refinery. Aunt Dot maintained a “sharp” wit throughout her life troubled mostly by failing eyesight. Aunt Dot was constantly on the move in the halls of Magnolia Estates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis L “Bud” Simoneaux, her sister Sadie Boudreaux Hardy, and her Parents Lynn James Boudreaux and Aline Simoneaux Boudreaux. She is survived by 3 nephews, Stephen Hardy, Matthew Hardy and wife Melanie Hardy, Keith Hardy and Sharon Richard and one grand-nephew, Michael Hardy and his wife Renee Martin Hardy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of the Simoneaux family. The Family would like to thank Magnolia Estates Nursing Facility for providing care during her final years. Services will be held at Landry Funeral Home in Thibodaux La on Friday January 15th. Visitation will be from 11 to 1. A prayer service will be held at 1pm followed by interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Napoleonville, La. ======================
