Mr. Joseph Soule, age 92, a native of Raceland and resident of New Orleans, 
peacefully passed away on Jan. 9, 2016. 

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Thursday, 
Jan. 14 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 4111 Hwy 308 in Raceland, 

with burial to follow in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. 

He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Jacqueline) and Troynell (Martha) Soule; 
daughters, Gloria (Loyd) Woods, Joyce and Crystal Soule; brother, Joseph 
(Evelyn) Gant; sister, Ivory Broom; five grandchildren; three great-
grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Esma Soule and 2nd wife, Jacquelyn Soule; 
parents, Cora Jones and Lionel Soule; son, Mark Owen Soule; and sisters, Dorthy 
Mae Davis and Elaine Wesco. 

Mr. Soule was a licensed electrician and President of AFL-Cio. 
Mr. Soule was an US Army Veteran. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
