Ernest R. Acosta, 100 and 4 months, was born on September 16, 1915 and passed 
away on February 8, 2016. 

He was a resident and native of Labadieville, LA

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic 
Church in Labadieville from 8:30AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian 
Burial will take place at 11:00AM at the church. 

Interment will be in St. Philomena Catholic Church cemetery in Labadieville.

He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Delcambre and husband Ronnie, and 
Coddie Campbell; sisters, Joy LeBlanc of Texas and Joan Aucoin of Belle Rose; 6 
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred R. Acosta; parents, Sidney and 
Olymphe Bourg Acosta; daughter, Dee Bonvillain; brothers, Luke and Howard 
Acosta; sisters, Agnes Richbourg, Annie LeBlanc, and Molly Blanchard; great-
granddaughter, Sydney Gros; son-in-law, Joseph Campbell.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Thibodaux Home Health and 
St. “Jo” Hospice.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Philomena Building Fund or St. 
“Jo” Hospice.

Thibodaux Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
